Position Summary
The Project Manager demonstrates leadership and supports the successful execution of projects by managing schedules, tracking key milestones, and coordinating cross-functional communication. This role ensures projects progress in alignment with customer commitments and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external project scheduling inquiries related to engineered power distribution equipment.
- Develop, track, and maintain detailed project schedules and key milestones, including submittals, submittal approvals, electrical and mechanical releases, purchasing releases, factory acceptance testing, shipping, and quoted lead times.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure schedule alignment, identify constraints, and resolve issues impacting delivery.
- Communicate project status, delivery timelines, and potential risks to customers and internal stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Leading and supporting personnel to actively contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system and clearly communicate the importance of quality management.
- Apply risk-based thinking to identify schedule, material, or production risks that could impact product conformity, delivery, or customer satisfaction.
- Ensure customer, contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements related to project delivery are understood and consistently met.
- Support company objectives, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration; perform all other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company and safety standards.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, scheduling, or project management
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment required
- Experience with electrical equipment, power distribution systems, or industrial manufacturing
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management or scheduling tools
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization and with customers
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Work Schedule & Location
- Day shift, 5 8-hour days schedule
- On-site position
