Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of assigned projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with ICG and customer standards. This role includes planning, staffing, field coordination, financial oversight, and customer communication. The Project Manager works closely with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and executive leadership to drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight & Execution

●     Manage assigned key accounts and installation projects for structured cabling and low-voltage systems (e.g. FAU, City of Fort Lauderdale, Cleveland Clinic, Broward Health. GL Homes)

●     Conduct site surveys and perform project take-offs and estimating as directed

●     Develop a Project Plan detailing required staffing, timelines, materials, and technical needs

●     Order and track project materials; monitor material budgets and report variances

●     Oversee financial performance, cost tracking, and gross profit targets for assigned projects

●     Lead installation management, supervise ICG technicians and subcontractors

●     Ensure test equipment results are collected, verified, and submitted to clients

●     Manage submittal documents and as-built drawings for accuracy and on-time delivery

●     Schedule, coordinate, and follow through on permit inspections

Team Coordination & Field Leadership

●     Coordinate with Operations Manager/VP to schedule technician labor

●     Attend construction coordination meetings for assigned projects

●     Brief field crews with project scope, plans, and contact information prior to deployment

●     Ensure crews are equipped with required materials, equipment, and PPE

●     Provide field support and technical guidance to technicians and subcontractors

●     Monitor project execution through technician reports and site updates

Compliance & Administration

●     Review and understand all job documentation including plans, specs, and change orders

●     Enforce company policies, installation standards, and safety protocols on all job sites

●     Ensure all work is completed in accordance with customer and ICG timelines

●     Maintain professionalism in appearance, behavior, and communication

●     Support billing by providing Administration the documentation (QB) to prepare itemized invoices using 702/703 formats for submission into Textura, Procore or Wide Area Work Flow (federal billing portal).

●     Generate internal progress reports, track percent completion, and project cost-to-complete

●     Collaborate with management on special projects or duties as assigned

●     Track and manage orders, ensuring communication with GC or owner has given ICG proper internal documentation for billing

Subcontractor Management

●     Source, onboard, and qualify subcontractors in alignment with ICG standards
 

●     Issue purchase orders, scopes of work, and timelines to subcontractor teams
 

●     Hold subcontractors accountable for schedule adherence, quality, and safety

●     Conduct weekly check-ins and remote oversight of subcontractor progress
 

●     Validate that subcontracted work aligns with specifications, contract scope, and quality expectations
 

●     Review and approve subcontractor invoices based on verified percent-complete and milestones

What You Bring

●     High school diploma or GED (required); bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering ()

●     OSHA 30 certification (required)

●     BICSI Level 2 Installer certification ()

●     4+ years of construction industry experience (low-voltage, electrical, or security integration )

●     Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

●     Working knowledge of Construction Divisions 26/27/28 specifications

●     Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

●     Proficient in material estimation, budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination

●     Ability to lead MEP coordination and client-facing communication

●     Strong MS Office Skills / Word & Excel

Physical & Working Conditions

●     Physical Activity: Sitting, standing, stooping, squatting, climbing, and lifting up to 25 lbs

●     Mobility: Full range of body movement and physical stamina required

●     Senses: Full vision and hearing required for job site inspections and communication

●     Math & Reasoning: Ability to perform calculations for estimating and cost tracking

●     : Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English

●     Environment: Work may be performed in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, wind, and dust. Extended work hours and fatigue may occur during peak periods

●     Achieve a minimum gross profit margin of 30% across managed jobs
