Project Manager - Engineering / Automotive Sector



£40,000 to £42,000 + Benefits + Car Allowance



This is a newly created position and is due to continued business growth and new customer acquisition.



Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Manager / Engineer is responsible for coordinating all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phases as well as ensuring the project remains within budget in order to meet the requirements of the customer’s needs. 



The successful Project Manager / Engineer will predominantly be self-managed with regular reports back to the Engineering Manager at project milestones and/or project completion. You will work within a small team of Project Managers and Engineers.



You will have strong project management skills, coupled with a background (experience or education) in engineering, preferably (but not essential) from within the automotive industry.



Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this customer facing role.



Manage Customer and internal Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes



Coordinate all project elements including planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phases ensuring that it is managed within budget and tracked against project timing plan as well as any other relevant KPIs for the project



Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion
