Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Project Manager will plan and design, and/or facilitate the execution of new building designs, and plan and/or facilitated the execution of building projects according to client’s needs, desires, and financial resources.

Supervisory Responsibility: Project Staff & Engineering Consultants

Duties/ Responsibilities

· Coordinate all project efforts from beginning pre-design to final close-out. The PM is expected to:

o Produce and lead projects though design and construction documents, including coordination of consultant plan documents

o Prepare and present designs, specifications, estimated costs, and project schedules; review and comply with agency, life safety, and building code requirements; respond to the technical implications of design decisions

o Manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; manage project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.

o Manage projects during construction administration including permitting, bid / negotiation, submittals, construction documentation, progress meetings, and on-site observation to meet contract requirements

o Estimate project scope of work, schedule, oversee and advise and instruct project designers

o Participate in quality assurance / quality control.

 

· Prepare strategic plans and serve as client liaison

o PM will be paired with a firm Associate on all projects, but the PM will serve as the primary point of contact throughout projects

o Assistant in marketing and new client opportunities

o Facilitates firm and project goals

o Complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with max. client satisfaction.

· Professional development pursuits on a quarterly basis; maintain awareness of evolving building technology and systems.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient with Autodesk Revit building information modeling (BIM) software; projects are 100% produced in Revit.

· Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, and TwinMotion are desired, but not required.

· Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and consultation skills.

· Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as sketches, drawings, or models.

Education and Experience

· NAAB accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.

· Five to ten years of relevant experience is .

· Portfolio of completed projects.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds.

· Local and project-related travel is required.
