Job Description

About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced MSP Project Manager to lead client deployments, migrations, and technology initiatives across multiple environments. The role includes coordinating internal engineering teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects that meet scope, budget, and timeline expectations.

A strong working knowledge of ConnectWise Manage is essential, including project creation, phase structuring, ticket creation for tasking, resource scheduling, time entry governance, and project financial tracking. Experience working in SOC 2 Type II and NIST-aligned environments is .

You will also utilize Microsoft Project to build detailed schedules, dependencies, and Gantt-based project plans.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Delivery:

· Build project plans in Microsoft Project/ Planner and translate them into ConnectWise project structures.

· Create project phases, work breakdown structures, and tickets to represent tasks and milestones.

· Manage project execution from kickoff through close-out across multiple simultaneous engagements.

· Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and change requests.

· Maintain accurate documentation, project notes, change logs, and close-out artifacts in ConnectWise.

Resource and Financial Management:

· Assign and manage engineering resources using ConnectWise resource scheduling.

· Support capacity planning and forecasting for internal teams.

· Track project budgets, labor, expenses, and project financials in ConnectWise.

· Review time entries for accuracy and alignment with project scope and budgets.

Communication and Reporting:

· Provide regular client-facing updates, status reports, and milestone tracking.

· Use BrightGauge and ConnectWise dashboards to track KPIs, including budgets, timelines, risks, and progress.

· Maintain complete project documentation, including communication logs and action registers.

· Facilitate project kickoffs, internal meetings, and stakeholder reviews.

 Leadership and Quality Assurance:

· Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate third-party vendors.

· Build and maintain strong client relationships.

· Conduct post-project reviews and recommend process improvements.

· Ensure all work aligns with SOC 2 Type II and NIST-related compliance requirements.

· Uphold MSP delivery standards and documentation expectations.

Requirements:

· 6–10 years of IT project management experience within an MSP or multi-client IT services environment.

· Hands-on experience with ConnectWise Manage, including:

• Project creation and configuration
• Phase and WBS structure
• Ticket creation for tasks
• Resource scheduling
• Time entry review and approvals
• Project budgets and financials

· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar (Gantt charts, dependencies, critical path, baselines).

· Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Suite skills.

· Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.

· Experience with SOC 2 Type II, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, or similar compliance frameworks.

· BrightGauge experience is a plus, including dashboard creation and project KPI tracking.

· PMP or similar certification .

· Ability to manage multiple concurrent technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
