Job Description
Transmission Development Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Transmission Development Project Manager to support the planning, development, and execution of transmission line and substation capital projects. This individual will work closely with engineering, environmental, permitting, right-of-way, construction, and project management teams to advance projects from development through execution.
Schedule / Location
• Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
• Hybrid schedule – 3 days per week in office
• Relocation assistance available if required
• Local presence expected following the first 3–6 months
Key Responsibilities
• Support the development and execution of transmission and substation projects
• Lead project scoping, estimating, budgeting, and planning activities
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, permitting, right-of-way, and construction teams
• Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide project updates
• Support project approvals, funding requests, and construction readiness activities
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining project objectives
Required Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field)
• 5+ years of utility industry experience
• Experience supporting transmission and/or substation projects
• Experience with project scoping, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project execution
• Understanding of the utility capital project lifecycle from planning through construction
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills
• Experience working with engineering, construction, and project management teams
• Self-sufficient with the ability to operate independently
