Pay Range: $100,000 – $125,000 annually (DOE)

Job Summary
The Project Manager – Aggregate Pit Operations oversees all aspects of production, safety, maintenance, and environmental compliance for WW Clyde’s Taylor pit. You will lead a crew of superintendents, operators, and mechanics to deliver high-quality aggregates while meeting regulatory and reclamation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion WW Clyde’s vision and core values; communicate goals and safety expectations daily.
- Direct pit production activities, ensuring target tonnage, gradation, and quality standards are met.
- Monitor and schedule employee training, certifications, and MSHA requirements.
- Evaluate aggregate quality and adjust crushing/washing operations to optimize products.
- Collaborate with Aggregate Superintendents to meet air-quality, water, and other environmental permits.
- Oversee equipment security, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Manage budgets, cost reports, and inventory of wear parts and consumables.
- Coordinate reclamation work in compliance with approved plans.
- Maintain excellent customer service with internal concrete/asphalt plants and external buyers.
- Promote a safe, healthful work environment and lead incident investigations when necessary.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing aggregate or mining operations (pit, quarry, or crushing plant).
- Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations and environmental permitting.
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude; ability to diagnose crusher, screen, and conveyor issues.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Familiarity with aggregate testing procedures and quality-control standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with maintenance or production software a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
