Project Manager
Job Description
The Role:
As a Project Manager you will lead high-value CAPEX projects in the electricity sector (typically £5m+), taking programmes from concept to handover. You will ensure contracts, company procedures and schedules are met while upholding international and local quality and safety standards. You will manage multiple projects with commercial judgement, strong organisation and a safety-first mindset.
Responsibilities:
You will own project delivery—shaping programmes, managing resources and driving work to budget, on time and to quality standards. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders, monitor physical and financial progress, and produce concise reports for stakeholders. Using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and collaboration tools, you will plan, track and mitigate risks. You will apply IOSH, CDM and ISO9001 best practice and use LV/HV/EHV substation knowledge to ensure compliance with HSE and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven record delivering £5m+ construction/engineering projects with 5+ years in Project Manager roles. Recognised project management qualification (e.g., APM/Chartered). IOSH Managing Safely and CDM experience. Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Commercially aware, organised, detail-focused, and able to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
