We offer fabrication and welding services for structural steel, rebar, pipe and tubing. We provide a turnkey operation from estimating to delivery and offer free local delivery.
Job Description
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the daily operations and managing the Production aspects of the company.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires a blend of management, communication, and technical skills. A Deville Steel Project Manager:
- Manages the project from start to finish: This includes coordinating all tasks, from initial information gathering to the final delivery of materials to the job site.
- Serves as a company representative: They attend crucial meetings with general contractors and clients, ensuring Deville Steel's interests are represented.
- Oversee day-to-day project duties: This involves assigning tasks to detailers and steel erectors, procuring necessary materials, and issuing cut sheets for fabrication.
- Acts as the main point of contact: They are the "point person" for all communication among Deville Steel, subcontractors, and the general contractor.
- Handles administrative and financial tasks: This includes processing invoices, submitting shop drawings for approval, and obtaining lien waivers.
- Ensures project completion documentation: They are responsible for providing warranty letters upon substantial completion of a project.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, a candidate needs a strong foundation in both technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate:
- Strong understanding of construction drawings: They must be able to read and interpret various design drawings, including structural, architectural, and civil plans, as well as specifications.
- Possesses exceptional communication skills: Both written and verbal communication are crucial for managing complex relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Has strong foresight: The ability to anticipate and prevent scheduling conflicts is a key qualification.
- Bachelors in Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent is
- High School Graduate is a requirement
