IT Project Manager (ServiceNow) - Tier 1 Investment Bank - £700 - £720 p/day PAYE
Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a Tier 1 Investment Bank as an IT Project Manager on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering IT investment projects, with a specific focus on enhancing and optimising the bank’s ServiceNow platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end project management of IT programmes and projects, including project initiation, planning, budgeting, quality management, and release documentation.
- Work with business sponsors, PMO, and global liaison teams to build business cases and ROI models for project prioritisation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business requirements.
- Manage deployment, release coordination, and reporting to senior stakeholders, including Steering Committees, IT leadership, and C-suite executives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple offices and regions.
- Manage internal and external project resources within a matrix structure.
- Oversee vendor management, including contract negotiation and service-level agreements.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions, escalating where necessary.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience delivering IT projects/programmes, ideally within banking or financial services.
- Proven experience leading ServiceNow implementation or enhancement projects.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow configuration, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior executives.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant project management qualifications (APM, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) .
- Understanding of IT functions and financial market products is advantageous.
Contract Details:
- £700–£720 per day (PAYE)
- 6-month initial contract
- Central London, hybrid working (2-3 days per week in office)
