Job Description Project Manager Jackson, MS - On-site; 5 days per week Salary: $75-100k This company is an ESOP and offers annual stock equity options Position Summary: The Project Manager will manage engineering projects, to ensure project goals are achieved in a timely manner. They will lead the planning and development of all project deliverables, and actively create and maintain a visual dashboard of all projects while working directly with the engineering team and with team members of other departments. They will play a key role in maintaining project management procedures. Responsibilities: Ensure the project scope is adequately defined and project executed to address scope/objectives of project Ensure that appropriate estimates of time, cost, and resources (with associated details captured) are prepared and maintained for project efforts Establish & maintain a detail project schedule(s)/workplan(s) within tool needed for scheduling, tracking and monitoring project progress/results Communicate/report project status including financial performance throughout project lifecycle Ensure that project approach deploys adequate quality assurance techniques in accordance with company standards Obtain project approvals of key milestone deliverables in accordance to the company's project governance standards (e.g., Phase-Gates reviews) Work closely with Manager – RD&E to assign resources to project(s) and review resource utilization throughout the project(s) Timely identify, track, manage and resolve project issues and risks Coordinate with Purchasing for appropriate estimates on vendor requirements and lead times. Other duties as assigned Education: Bachelor’s degree; preferrably in Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience. Experience: 1-8 years Project Management Demonstrating use of Project Management tools for clear visibility of all projects Defining content, organization and flow of project or sub-project deliverables Assigning project responsibilities to members of a project team and providing assistance required to ensure successful completion of individual project tasks Motivating staff to achieve project objectives, promoting teamwork Defining, managing and meeting stakeholder expectations Developing project workplans Monitoring task progress and taking actions to resolve issues Identifying and monitoring project risks Maintaining required project records Correctly, effectively, and efficiently using AI tools Knowledge of: Project Management terminology, concepts, processes, and tools Project Management practices & methodologies Basic managerial accounting/controls Skilled at: Communicating timely, accurately, clearly, concisely, the right information at the right time to the correct entities. Taking ownership & accountability for actions and results Conveying a sense of urgency Meeting deadlines without compromising quality & accuracy Setting realistic goals, prioritizes appropriately and follows through Persistence in the face of obstacles & resolves issues as they arise Utilizing project management software such as Microsoft Project Creating and presenting reports and charts to stakeholders Desirable Qualifications: PMP certification Ability to successfully lead team project meetings Positive interpersonal skills Enjoys and embraces supported accountability Enthusiasm for the company and its products Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excels in a fast-paced environment High degree of accuracy, integrity, and honesty with strong attention to detail Corporate database tools (i.e. NAV, SAP) Willingness to be hands on to support projects and the business Flexibility in work requirements, routines, and schedules.
