Project Manager Within 50 miles from Coleshill £55,000 – £70,000 Flexible Benefits (Vehicle/Car Allowance Holidays Training) Permanent About the Company A well-established, financially secure Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Contractor with over 20 years of success in the industry is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support its growing project division. Operating out of Coleshill, the company focuses on high-quality, specialist M&E installations, predominantly in mission-critical environments. This contractor works directly with select clients in sectors such as healthcare, IT, and infrastructure – consciously avoiding main contractors, builders, and fit-out firms. Projects are won through reputation, repeat business, and referrals. The Opportunity The Projects Division currently handles an annual turnover of £2–£4 million, with individual project values ranging between £50k and £250k. These are typically high-dependency technical upgrades such as UPS, generator, and chiller replacements. As a Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from mobilisation through to handover, working within a small, experienced team. You’ll oversee all aspects of delivery, from planning and procurement to contractor management and final documentation. Key Responsibilities * Lead the successful delivery of M&E projects across the UK * Produce and manage Construction Phase Plans and RAMS * Coordinate subcontractors and ensure smooth mobilisation * Manage programmes of work, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met * Oversee site set-up, supervision, and progress monitoring * Liaise with clients, ensuring communication and expectations are maintained * Review and produce technical documentation (drawings, O&Ms, as-fitteds) * Manage procurement and logistics of plant, materials, and equipment * Carry out contractor safety assessments and compliance checks Some travel to sites across the UK will be required. Flexibility exists within the team to manage site-based responsibilities collaboratively. What We're Looking For We’re not rigid with job specs – we're looking for the right person. Ideally, you’ll have: * Experience managing M&E or building services projects * A solid understanding of project workflows, contractor management, and technical documentation * The ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively * Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills * A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a small team Experience in mission-critical environments (e.g., healthcare, data centres, control rooms) is a plus but not essential. Support can be provided for sector-specific training and development.
