Responsible for managing complex and high risks projects. Oversees project budgets and schedules. Manage day-to-day aspects of project scope. Minimizes project risk. Creates and manages project work plans and work breakdown structures.
- The Project Manager III will oversee infrastructure builds from a physical layer perspective. This includes designing and managing installation of cabling, fiber optics, racks, and related infrastructure. The role ensures compliance with Fire Protection and Electrical Codes, creates build designs, and coordinates with contractors or internal technicians. Responsibilities include managing materials and parts lists for projects ranging from $10K to $5M.
- Field-heavy role with job site visits during all construction phases. Office work can be done at the Amarillo Operations Center (AOC) or remotely. The PM will attend construction meetings as a representative of Technology Services. Work location is flexible based on project needs.
- The PM will work with Program Managers (e.g., Brooke Tracy) for forecasting and financials, communication technicians , external contractors, and vendors.
- Highly collaborative and fast-paced. Requires strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage bids and estimates.
- High-risk field work environment. Must ensure NEC compliance and safe physical infrastructure design.
- Minimum 5 years of experience required. Expected to be comfortable within 3 months;
- Opportunity to work on large-scale, capital-initiated infrastructure projects. Exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure design and compliance standards.
- BICSI Certification (e.g., RCDD – Registered Communications Distribution Designer), experience with CAT 6A installations, RF tower construction, and campus communication systems. NEC compliance knowledge; journeyman electrician license is a plus. Infrastructure design and bid comparison experience. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; 10–15+ . Must have a valid drivers license.

- Experience in physical infrastructure builds, preferably in utility or similar industries. Familiarity with Amarillo, TX area and willingness to relocate or reside locally.
