Job Description
Position Title: Project Manager
Environment: On-site
Location: Richland, MS
Position Status: Direct Hire
Pay rate: $90,000 – 110,000/yr.
The Project Manager oversees project work from pricing to closeout. The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of assigned projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Oversight of construction activities, scheduling, budget management, and communication with project stakeholders is required daily.
Responsibilities:
- Performs project budgeting and cost control.
- Establishes project budget from estimate, performs job cost review, updates budgets monthly, and provides updates to General Management monthly. Support project billings.
- Prepares and manages project schedules to meet or exceed the goals of the customer.
- Performs subcontractor and supplier management. Prepares subcontracts and purchase orders and manages the change order process per company and project procedures.
- Plan and lead project meetings within company guidelines for format and content (Pre-Constructs, Progress Meetings, Close-out Meetings).
- Document meeting minutes within five days of meeting. Establishes and maintains organized project files. Documents all material conversations in writing.
- Perform project document control by managing Requests for Information (RFI’s).
- Ensure all effected parties receive clarifications in a timely manner and post clarifications to contract documents.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture Minimum of 2 years related experience
- Previous experience managing construction projects in occupied or exterior spaces required.
- LEED Associate, State General Contacting Licenses, or professional construction affiliations a plus. PMP Certification .
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction specifications, drawings, and local code requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and e-mail communication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Project Manager must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must be proficient at completing estimates, RFPs, schedules, and company required reports.
- Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Must have experience managing multiple subcontractors concurrently.
