Project Manager - Structural Steel\n\nLondon \nUp to £80,000 (Negotiable within reason an exceptional candidate)\n\nAbout the Company\n\nA leading specialist contractor delivering complex structural steel and associated works across the UK. Known for their technical excellence and collaborative approach, they support clients in sectors including infrastructure, stadia, rail, and bespoke engineering.\n\nWith in-house capabilities covering fabrication, coatings, and installation, they are trusted to deliver high-profile, safety-critical projects with precision and professionalism.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nDue to sustained project growth, the company is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead steelwork projects from pre-construction through to site delivery. You'll take full ownership of programme, cost, safety, and quality, acting as the main point of contact between internal teams, clients, and site operatives.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage the delivery of structural steel projects from concept to completion\n\nCoordinate internal teams (fabrication, logistics, site) and external contractors\n\nDevelop and maintain project programmes, RAMS, logistics plans, and method statements\n\nLead site meetings, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with contractual and HSEQ standards\n\nControl budgets, manage variations, and report on financial performance\n\nResolve technical or logistical challenges in collaboration with engineers and clients\n\nSupport junior team development and promote a culture of continuous improvement\n\nRequirements\n\nProven track record delivering steelwork or heavy structural projects in a senior capacity\n\nStrong technical understanding of fabrication and site erection\n\nExcellent planning, communication, and leadership skills\n\nComfortable managing multiple stakeholders across design, operations, and commercial\n\nExperience with project scheduling tools and risk management\n\nA strong commitment to safety and quality\n\nCSCS / SMSTS / First Aid (or equivalent) desirable\n\nWhat's On Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and package\n\nProjects that challenge and develop your technical and leadership capabilities\n\nOpportunity to work on landmark schemes across the UK\n\nA collaborative, down-to-earth culture that values people as much as projects\n\nFor more information please reach out to Sharon O'Donnell at The Highfield Company
