PROJECT MANAGER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Attend preconstruction meetings as needed.

· Coordinate scheduling of work with prime contractor.

· Schedule daily work for crews based on job size, location, and skill set.

· Review plans and quote for discrepancies prior to start of job to ensure maximized efficiency of field crew.

· Order job specific materials for projects that are not normally in stock.

· Compile all pre-job project information – i.e. contractor info, inspector info, plans, t-logs, material needed, maps, and ControlBoard setup.

· Locate delivery site, fuel, propane, water, dump sites, and hotels for out-of-town work.

· Monitor the weather and notify crews as needed.

· Site visits when needed to review conditions, errors or verify quantities.

· Gather and submit product data and reports to the contractor and/or owner.

· Approve daily time sheets and job reports.

· Verify quantities with contractor and/or inspector.

· Prepare invoices for jobs to send to the contractor/owner.

· Compile material quantities for job costing.

· Follow up on payment status with the prime contractor.

· Approve change orders and lien waivers.

· Work with office manager on material inventory of paint, thermo, and hot tape.

· Assign received payments to jobs/invoices to be entered into accounting system.

· Assist with plan take offs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT MANAGER ROLE:

· Must be an excellent communicator both within and outside our organization utilizing in person conversations, phone calls, and emails.

· Must have good common sense and ability to react quickly to changes.

· Must have fluent computer skills especially in Microsoft Office.

· Must have basic understanding of plan reading and stationing.

· Must be able to work well with other peers especially between estimating and field.

· Must be able to establish and grow relationships with customers and owners.

· Must be self-motivated.

· Must be able to stay organized and simultaneously handle complex matters.

· Must be able to have a flexible schedule.

· Must be willing to accept other related work duties as assigned.

· Follow all Griffin Pavement Striping, Inc. policies and procedures.

· Estimating experience .
