The Project Manager Role
We are seeking a Project Manager with a background in professional services having worked on multiple M&A, Technology & Business Change projects. Reporting into our Group Business Change Manager, you’ll be a key part of our Central Operations team, working closely with senior leaders, third-party suppliers, and colleagues across the AMS Group. You’ll lead a mix of business change, technology, and M&A integration projects from planning to delivery, ensuring they’re delivered on time, in scope, and within budget.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead end-to-end delivery of business change, technology, and M&A integration projects - from scoping and planning through to implementation and post-project review.
- Partner with Project Sponsors, workstream leads, and senior stakeholders to define objectives, success criteria, and business outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party partners to deliver on time, in scope, and within budget.
- Apply best-practice project management and change delivery methodologies.
- Track project spend against agreed budgets, ensuring financial discipline.
- Manage project governance and reporting into senior forums.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, technology partners, and vendors.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Ensure projects align with the Group’s technology roadmap and regulatory standards.
- Capture and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience delivering complex business change, technology, and M&A integration projects from definition to delivery.
- Project management background in Professional Services, Accountancy, Audit or Legal.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior level.
- Proven use of change management techniques.
- Confident presenter and facilitator, able to secure buy-in for key initiatives.
- Budget management experience, including forecasting and planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
