Something About the Position
The Architect Project Lead partners with the Project Manager and Project Designer on small to large-scale project types in a very collaborative environment. The Project Lead is accountable for team communication and responsible for the issuance of content of deliverables, technical content of Klover documents and coordination of disciplines including consultants and for staff producing documents.
The Architect Project Manager is responsible for exercising independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard technique. This position takes an active role in directing and processing work for daily activities accurately and efficiently through the company systems (Auto Cad | Revit | Microsoft Office Suites).
Primary Responsibilities (Architect Project Leader)
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Leads project teams on select projects and fosters strong working relationships with internal leadership and team members.
- Cross-Discipline Coordination: Communicates with vendors, contractors, and other disciplines to ensure accurate integration of all project requirements.
- Documentation & Standards: Oversees construction documentation to ensure alignment with quality assurance, control, and Klover standards.
- Technical Support & Communication: Provides technical guidance, prepares reports, tracks project changes, and maintains project communications.
- Project Administration: Manages shared project files, supports meeting coordination, attends site visits, and prepares meeting documentation.
Primary Responsibilities (Architect Project Manager)
- Project Leadership & Coordination: Leads and mentors project teams, plans work, resolves technical/design issues, and ensures collaboration with clients, consultants, and internal staff.
- Design & Documentation: Oversees design development, client presentations, and ensures construction documents meet quality, code, and company standards, including BIM integration.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Interfaces with clients and vendors to confirm requirements, track changes, and deliver presentations and reports.
- Process & Standards Management: Maintains project schedules and budgets, sets software parameters, manages electronic files, and ensures adherence to internal documentation processes.
- Quality Control & Billing Oversight: Reviews work for accuracy, ensures alignment with project scope, supports billing procedures, and addresses issues that could impact schedule or deliverables.
Education & Skills You Need to Bring With You
From a technical perspective, our ideal candidate will bring the following skills & experience with them:
Architect Project Leader:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required
- 3 to 5 years related experience in architecture
- Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
- Knowledge of architectural building systems
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
- Motivated, self-directed, problem solver and ability to work in both individual and team settings
- Less than 10 percent travel to local construction sites
Architect Project Manager:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture required
- Minimum 5 to 7 years related experience in architecture and project management
- Architectural registration
- Advanced knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
- Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems
- Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
- Motivated, self-directed, problem solver and ability to work in both individual and team settings
- Less than 10 percent travel to local construction sites
