Summary:
The Project Estimator at Vaughan Company is responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing bid packages, and developing accurate cost estimates to support the sales and engineering teams. This role combines technical expertise with customer-focused problem-solving, ensuring that clients receive the right pump solutions for their needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in both technical analysis and proposal preparation, with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to develop complete bid packages
- Prepare accurate sales quotes and process order entries
- Conduct pump system analysis to recommend appropriate pump or system solutions
- Collaborate closely with sales and engineering teams to ensure customer needs are met
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree () or relevant technical/sales experience in the Food, Energy, or Facilities industries
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of the sales process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in technical writing and proposal preparation
- : Hands-on knowledge of pumps and pump systems, including application, operation, and maintenance
