The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional projects within a manufacturing environment. This role supports training, production, manufacturing, quality, HR, and other plant departments by ensuring the success of the training department.


The Project Engineer assesses training needs, develops and maintains technical documentation (including process flow diagrams and work instructions), tracks project milestones, and communicates progress effectively to management. The position requires strong technical writing skills, hands-on engagement in a manufacturing setting, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high levels of service and collaboration across departments.


This role demands strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, capability to meet production demands with the training developed for new and existing employees, and the ability to work safely in an industrial environment. Bilingual English/Spanish capability is desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess training needs, prepare documentation, and provide training recommendations
  • Track project timelines, meet deadlines, and achieve project goals
  • Support training, manufacturing, production, quality and HR departments
  • Maintain updated records of all project activities and communicate progress effectively
  • Ensure project objectives are met in terms of cost, quality, and resources


Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering (Industrial Engineering ) or other engineering or industrial degree with applicable industry experience
  • Experience in labor-intensive manufacturing process
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bilingual: English & Spanish desirable (written Spanish is a plus)
  • Ability to create process flow diagrams and work instructions
  • Flexible schedule, available for some weekends
  • Willingness to travel with a valid passport
  • Comfortable working in a noisy, industrial environment, wearing PPE
