Position Description:

The Professional Services Engineer Tier 1 position is responsible for the successful delivery and execution of client projects.  Professional Services Engineers deliver projects that range in scope and functionality from new server installation, new Microsoft 365 system setup, new office setup, to name a few.  The position provides Professional Services Engineers an opportunity to master networking, computer configuration, server systems, cloud technologies, telephone technologies, logistics, process and procedure.  Professional Services Engineers receive extensive training in the previously mentioned skills. Professional Services Engineers have the opportunity to work on projects individually and as part of a team.  Professional Services Engineers develop excellent team work skills as well as the confidence to work as a sole technician on a project.  Professional Services Engineers learn how to deliver projects on time and on budget. 

The Professional Services Engineer Tier 1 position is the stepping stone to the Professional Services Engineer Tier 2 position.

 

 

Job Duties:

Complete assigned and required operational and technical training programs.

Maintain operational and technical skill sets.

Coordinate project schedules with customers, vendors and Succurri personnel.

Host and or participate in new project kick off calls with customers.

Coordinate, configure, install and troubleshoot new equipment installation at customer locations.

Coordinate, provision, setup, configure, deploy and troubleshoot new software or cloud systems.

Coordinate, notify, train, update and assist customers with using new technologies an systems.

Review, confirm, cleanup and de-provision old systems.

Follow project plan schedules, tasks and processes.

Follow daily scheduled tasks while also juggling same day requests.

Enter time and service notes against customers tickets daily.

Review project schedule, project tickets and timelines daily to insure successful delivery of the project.

Communicate with the professional services team leader to address issues and provide updates.

Participate in professional service team meetings as scheduled.

Meet or exceed key performance indicators for the Professional Services Engineer position daily.

Onsite visits, including but not limited to conducting site surveys, racking and installing network equipment, interfacing with onsite vendors and providing onsite customer Go-Live assistance after project cutovers.

Create and update project templates

Create and update knowledgebase articles

Training provided for all of the duties listed above.

 

Training Provided on the Following Systems:

Kaseya RMM, Spanning UniView backups, ESXi and VMWare, SaasAlerts, PII Protect, Keeper Password Manager, ConnectWise ticketing and scheduling, CoreTech Low Voltage scheduling, Threatlocker, Bigleaf, EcoStruxure, Egnyte, Anchor, Autodesk, Microsoft 365, Intune Enrollment and Encryption, Intermedia, Sophos Central, BitTitan and Movebot.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have prior experience in the following:

1.       Answering telephones and assessing customer requests.

2.       Experience working with customers primarily via phone and email.

3.       Experience working with Windows based computers.

4.       Experience with creating and managing user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory.

5.       Detailed understanding of computer chassis (workstation, laptop, tablet) and how to install or remove components.

6.       Detailed understanding of computer components (motherboard, cpu, ram, hard drive, etc.).

7.       Mastery of how to install and remove applications from a Windows computer.

8.       Mastery of how to install, configure and remove printers from a Windows computer.

9.       Basic understanding of network connectivity such as TCP/IP, switches, routers, internet connections, DHCP and DNS.

10.   Working in a fast-paced environment.

11.   Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.

12.   Ability to address and defuse tense customer situations.

13.   Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Project+ desired.

14.   Bachelors or Associates degree in information system.

Compensation:

$60,000 annually.  Salary.  Full Time 40 hours per week.

Monday through Friday 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

After hours work by appointment and availability.  Comp time provided

Weekend work one to two weekends each month.  Comp time provided
