REI Build Up Construction is seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Structural Engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of structural construction, particularly structural steel, concrete, and seismic work.

Responsibilities:

- \n
- Review structural drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, general contractors, inspectors, and field crews
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders
- Assist with structural steel fabrication and installation coordination
- Perform site visits and field verification
- Identify conflicts between drawings and actual field conditions
- Assist with structural calculations and engineering solutions
- Coordinate special inspections and testing as required
- Support project scheduling, material procurement, and project documentation
- Work closely with our steel fabrication and construction teams

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Minimum 3 years of experience in structural engineering, project engineering, or a related construction position
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required
- Strong knowledge of structural steel and concrete construction
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
- Familiarity with California building codes and seismic construction
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience with structural engineering/design software is a plus
- EIT certification is required. PE license is a plus, but not required
