Salary: $85,000–$100,000+
Shift: Days
Location: Shawnee, OK

About the Role
This role leads mechanical and manufacturing engineering projects that support production efficiency, cost reduction, and equipment optimization within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The Project Engineer partners closely with operations, quality, maintenance, and vendors to drive projects from concept through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute heavy industrial manufacturing projects from concept through completion
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and product performance
- Support equipment, tooling, and fixture development for production operations
- Perform engineering calculations, technical analysis, and prepare supporting documentation
- Assist with plant layout changes and facility/equipment optimization
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities through process and product/material re-engineering
- Evaluate vendors and subcontractors and support contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Prepare project status, cost, and performance reports for leadership
- Provide engineering support to Manufacturing and Quality teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical )
- PE license in Oklahoma strongly
- 7–10 years of experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments
- Proven track record of driving cost reductions through process improvements
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency; familiarity with project scheduling tools
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
