Job Description
Established in 1971, GEOCON is a dynamic Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Services, Engineering Geology, and Construction Inspection firm with 9 offices throughout Northern and Southern California. GEOCON is ranked on ENR’s TOP 500 Design Firms year after year. We work on a wide variety of projects ranging from new and innovative school campuses to major transportation projects which help maintain infrastructure and alleviate traffic congestion in California.
Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field
- Five years (approximately) experience in geotechnical engineering project mananagement
- Professional Registration (PE, GE) required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Essential Functions: We are looking for an experienced engineer that enjoys a fast-paced and fun work environment. We need continued support for our clients in analyzing slope stability, liquefaction, shallow foundations, deep foundations, settlement and grading recommendations. The applicant should be able to perform independently with responsible judgment on simple to complex projects. We are looking for good written and verbal skills; someone who enjoys collaborating with clients, other consultants and career associations; and has the ability to manage budget/schedule for projects.
Physical Demands: This job is generally in a professional office environment but includes field time (including site observations and drilling operations) and ability to lift at least 20-pound samples or equipment.
Expected Hours of Work: Generally Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and can enjoy a hybrid schedule ( at least 3 days a week in the office).
Compensation Range: Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience, pay range $85K to $105k/year
