Project Engineer Project Manager in Englishtown

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our Chief Operations Officer and field teams to support all phases of construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a career in the construction and flooring industry while gaining hands-on experience in estimating, project coordination, and site operations.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
• Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Perform material takeoffs and assist with cost estimating
• Track project progress, budgets, and timelines with project management
• Prepare and support AIA billing, including pay applications and documentation
• Manage project requisitions and payment schedules
• Assist with preparation and processing of change orders
• Generate, track, and manage RFIs (Requests for Information)
• Prepare, review, and track submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications
• Assist in the preparation and compilation of project closeout documents (O&M manuals, warranties, as-builts)
• Collect, review, and track lien waivers from subcontractors and suppliers
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Conduct site visits to ensure quality control and safety compliance
• Help prepare project reports and documentation
• Utilize AI tools and technology to improve efficiency in estimating, document management, and project tracking

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software is a plus
• Experience or willingness to learn construction management software and AI-driven tools
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow
• Experience in construction or flooring
• Knowledge of materials such as tile, hardwood, carpet, and vinyl
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and closeout processes
• Basic understanding of job site safety standards
