Location: Philadelphia, PA 19134

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support manufacturing and industrial operations for a leading global organization. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with experience in production environments, process improvement, and manufacturing optimization.

The Project Engineer will apply engineering principles to improve operational efficiency, analyze production workflows, and support quality and reliability initiatives. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with engineering drawings, production data, and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze production processes, maintenance activities, and operational workflows to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management teams to define quality and reliability standards.
  • Review production records, worker logs, and processing documentation to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating work assignments based on production schedules, workforce performance, machine capacity, and operational constraints.
  • Create charts, diagrams, workflow maps, floor layouts, and utilization reports to support process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (required).
  • 2–4 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Experience creating engineering sketches, drawings, and performing engineering calculations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with engineering-related software applications, including CAD tools.

Skills

  • Experience supporting manufacturing process improvements.
  • Knowledge of industrial engineering concepts, workflow analysis, and production optimization.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance standards and production planning processes
