With the autonomy to manage your own projects, you’ll see the direct impact of your work on efficiency, innovation and continuous improvement across the business.\n\nProject Engineer Role & Responsibilities\n\n * Leading and overseeing CAPEX projects from concept through to completion\n\n * Independently managing small to medium-sized projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and operational requirements\n\n * Acting as a representative of the business at internal and external meetings\n\n * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation\n\n * Managing project budgets and controlling expenditure\n\n * Supervising contractors, ensuring safe working practices, inductions and compliance with site procedures\n\n * Working closely with the engineering team to align project objectives and delivery\n\n * Communicating project plans, timelines and requirements to key stakeholders\n\n * Providing regular progress updates to stakeholders\n\n * Taking ownership of mechanical and electrical elements of projects\n\n * Supporting the design and modification of machinery, systems and building infrastructure where required\n\n * Researching and assessing new machinery and technologies suitable for use across the business\n\n * Keeping up to date with developments in food production technology and industry innovation, including attending trade shows and exhibitions\n\n * Supporting and delivering training for production teams as part of project implementation\n\nProject Engineer Skills and Experience\n\n * Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering\n\n * Strong CAD capability\n\n * Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food or FMCG )\n\n * High level of competence with Microsoft Office applications\n\n * Strong attention to detail\n\n * Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills\n\nProject Engineer Benefits & Hours of work\n\n * Salary up £65k (DOE), Mon to Fri (Days), Supportive leadership team with an open-door approach, Contributory pension scheme (8% total, with 5% employee contribution), 28 days’ annual leave, increasing annually up to an additional 5 days, Life assurance cover of up to three times annual salary, Additional holiday entitlement, Employee Assistance Programme, Access to a retail discounts platform, Regular team lunches, festive gifts and team-building activities, Opportunities for professional development through recognised training courses, Clear progression opportunities with a strong internal promotion ethos and On-site parking available\n\nUnfortunately, due to time restrictions we cannot respond to every applicant, in the event that we haven’t contacted you within 48 hours please take it you have not been successful for this particular role, but your details will be kept on file and considered for all future vacancies.\n\nWe are an equal opportunities agency and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.\n\nWe are acting on behalf of the client as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
