Project Engineer 1 - Municipal Industry - Cincinnati Area Company Summary: With a legacy spanning over a century, our firm provides comprehensive architectural, engineering, planning, and surveying services. Serving as municipal engineer to 60 communities, we specialize in a wide range of areas including civil engineering, transportation, architecture, and water management. Hybrid Work Model: Onsite 3 days/week Relocation Consideration Available: Relocation compensation will be provided Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience required Professional Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license mandatory Salary Range: $85K-$100K, plus year-end bonus Interview Process: 2 total interviews (1) Virtual interview (2) Onsite interview Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer 1 with a specialization in municipal projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and time requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong professional engineering skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers. Key Responsibilities: Lead engineering designs within the municipal sector, overseeing projects from initiation to completion. Provide direction to project staff, including engineers, drafters, designers, and field personnel, to achieve project goals. Ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare a variety of project documents, including reports, proposals, estimates, bid documents, and permit applications. Maintain project schedules and budgets, communicating any deviations to the Project Manager. Develop strategies to secure repeat business from existing clients and expand the client base. Serve as a client relationship manager for select clients, fostering strong partnerships and understanding their needs. Possibility of being designated as an Assistant Project Manager. Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory. Proficiency in computer-based design tools such as AutoCAD, GIS, and REVIT. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving ability and time management skills. Self-motivated with a drive for professional advancement. Valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurance.
