The Project Engineer plays a key role in delivering complex industrial engineering solutions from concept through completion. This position provides technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring designs are practical, code-compliant, and aligned with client objectives. The Project Engineer collaborates closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to manage scope, schedules, and technical execution. Responsibilities

·        Ensure that the project follows execution best practices and Company policies.

·        Effectively monitors and controls project progress, resource utilization, project financials, and provides updates on project statuses to the team.

·        Applies project management skills on moderately complex projects or tasks, including understanding and communicating milestones, timelines and project decisions to external/internal stakeholders, and direct supervisor.

·        Provides the timely documentation of clear project scope (i.e detailed assumptions; internal, external and regulatory requirements; objectives/targets; validation needs; resource estimates; costs and timing).

·        Performs construction quantity estimates and/or obtains bids, proposals, and quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors as needed for respective projects.

·        Maintains relationships with customers, external subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors, and communicate changes to respective engineering designs to meet customer expectations and requirements including but not limited to: scope of work development for contractor bid, construction timelines, customer downtime windows, installation requirements, and equipment approval drawing red lines and mark ups.

·        Develop preliminary engineering designs and concepts for multi-disiplinary projects.

·        Operate LiDAR equipment in the fields to collect accurate data for mapping, surveying, and other projects

·        Condust pre-scan preparations, including equipment set up, calibration, and quality checks

·        Follow established scanning procedures and safety protocols to ensure data integrity and personal safety

Qualifications:

·        Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, structural, civil, chemical, or process engineering

·        Experience with LiDAR scanning equipment is highly

·        Willingness to travel and work in varying outdoor environments

·        Ability to estimate, budget and analyze project costs and schedules

·        Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·        Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment

·        Excellent communication and client relationship skills

·        Ability to apply local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to engineering design, safety, and construction administration

·        Knowledge of the principles and practices of multi-discipline and/or discipline-specific engineering related to design, construction, implementation, or deliverable submission of projects

·        Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
