Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Thames Water and Anglian Water regions
Contracted hours: 42 per week (Monday-Friday) | Competitive salary | Paid travel time in addition to contracted hours
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a leading firm in the water treatment sector. Our client is looking for an ambitious individual with a strong industrial background to support long-term projects and make a significant impact within the sector.

Key Responsibilities:
·Support the mechanical supervisor and a team of mechanical fitters to ensure projects are completed to a high standard, safely and in line with the programme.
·Collaborate with the design team and Compliance Manager to ensure all works comply with client specifications and relevant standards.
·Contribute to maintaining a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to Health and Safety legislation.
·Oversee that all installations meet the highest standards and comply with the project quality plan.
·Ensure all project documentation is completed to the required standard and ready for O&M handover.
·Mentor and coach supervisors and mechanical fitters.
·Work effectively as part of a growing and dynamic team.
About You:
·SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent.
·CSCS or CCNSG.
·Full UK driving licence.
·Relevant trade qualifications.
·Ability to interpret mechanical installation drawings (e.g., GA, P&ID's).
·Experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer or Supervisor.
·Ability to manage your own workload and project tasks with minimal supervision.
Desirable Qualifications:
·Emergency First Aid or First Aider certification.
·Fitness-to-work medical.
·EUSR Water Hygiene.
·2391 Test and Inspection.
·PASMA/IPAF/Confined Space.
·COMPEX.
·Industrial experience.
