As projects engineer for a manufacturing leader it is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative engineering solutions within a thriving and specialist industry.AsProject Engineerwith strong engineering knowledge and a proven track record of delivering successful projects ideally within food processing or equipment or a similar engineering environment.This is primarily an office-based position with occasional visits to customer sites. Some UK overnight stays and possible international travel may be required. You may also oversee installations on-site and coordinate subcontractors both in the UK and overseas.As project engineer you would be managing multiple projects in equipment manufacturing from sales handover, through the design stage into manufacturing then Factory Acceptance Test, Installation and Commissioning. As project engineering manager you would ensuring all design and manufacturing milestones are met, keeping the project on schedule throughout its lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and agree project scope with customers and the sales teamDevelop and manage project schedules (Gantt charts)Produce essential project documentation including: Scope of Supply; Timing plans; P BOMs; Preliminary layout drawingsSpecify and source components and equipmentManage project changes effectivelyCoordinate delivery, installation, and commissioning including:Customer acceptance testing (FAT/PDI)Packing, shipping, and export documentationInstallation planning, RAMS, and resource bookingSite Acceptance Testing, training, and documentation handoverMaintain commercial awareness, ensuring timely invoicing and project close-outSkills & Experience RequiredExperience in a similar project engineering role within a process / manufacturing engineering environment ( food industry )Demonstrated success delivering engineering projectsStrong communication skills with the ability to liaise across all business levelsProactive, positive, can-do approachProficiency with: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word; MS Project, AutoCAD LTKnowledge of steam systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipework, and basic electrical control systems highly advantageousFull UK driving licence requiredWork with a recognised industry leader; Varied and technically interesting projects; Collaborative team environment.
