Working for a Market leader in technology.\n\nProject Engineering Manager\nContract Dates:\n01/08/2025 – 28/02/2026\nLocation: Derby\nOutside Scope Rate Competitive\n\nRole Definition\n\nWorking as part of a Freight ETCS project, the Project Engineering Manager will work as part of the Engineering team to provide direction to the Project Engineers working on the project.\nThe Freight ETCS project support the rollout of ETCS to the UK Freight Fleet on a number of UK locomotives. The project covers locomotives in different stages of the project lifecycle including design, first in class installation, fleet production and type testing.\n\nSpecific Qualifications and Experience\nEssential:\n\nIn depth practical knowledge and experience of design and installation of train systems, typically ETCS, TPWS, AWS, GSM-R, Wi-Fi, CCTV and DAS.\nAn understanding of the approvals process required to modify a train and bring it back into service.\nExperience of working to industry quality and safety standards.\nWillingness and ability to work from Derby 3 days per week and flexibility to travel to fitment partner locations in the Midlands.\n\nDesirable:\n\nUnderstanding of Freight Locomotives\nKnowledge of implementing ETCS and/or CBTC systems and GSM-R systems.\n\nPlease call for further information
