POSITION SUMMARY:

CubCrafters, an industry leader in light aircraft manufacturing, has an opening for a Projects Engineer I – Structures & Powerplant. It is a job that offers a wide variety and the opportunity to be part of a great team to design, build, test, and innovate aircraft. This position will have split responsibility between designing structural products and powerplant systems, testing those designs, and other tasks as needs arise. This position would start with a project that has a structural focus on a special developmental project. This project would consume on average 70% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing new products – structural and powerplant focus
• Conduct structural testing of new products
• Participate in flight testing of new products
• Implementing new products onto the production line
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mechanical Engineering or Aero Engineering Degree
• 2+ years of related experience
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (lean manufacturing )
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present data effectively

COMPENSATION:

Pay is DOE:

• Hourly: $28.00 - $41.00 per hour
• Salary: $77,968.80 - $85,280 annually
