We are pleased to announce that our Houston Division is looking for a highly motivated, hardworking Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established heavy civil contractor offering strong career advancement and professional development opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • Review and uphold quality control standards.
  • Ensure crews have the equipment, materials, and survey data needed before arrival.
  • Track daily and weekly production through timecard and quantity reviews.
  • Collaborate with crews and subcontractors to ensure progress milestones are met.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and field measurements.
  • Coordinate with inspectors and owner representatives.
  • Prepare three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Support team efforts and company goals.
  • Demonstrate reliability, integrity, and strong work ethic.
  • Complete all assigned documentation and tasks.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in heavy civil construction (roadway, bridge, grading, or dirt work) .
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.


Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate active construction sites.
  • Occasional travel to project sites required.
  • Shifts may vary (days, nights, weekends).
