Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction
We are seeking motivated Project Engineers with 5+ years of experience in engineering or project engineering, ideally with a background in heavy construction such as highways, bridges, deep foundations, water/wastewater plants, marine, industrial electrical, and large-scale industrial facilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative, with strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with a steadfast commitment to safety.

Project Engineer Key Responsibilities

Review, coordinate, submit, and track all project submittals to ensure timely and accurate execution.

Support construction planning by preparing form/pour drawings, major lift plans, and layout designs for pipe, equipment, and conduit.

Analyze survey reports, maps, blueprints, and other technical data to support project planning and design.

Partner with field personnel to monitor costs, control performance, and ensure successful project delivery.

Generate and maintain accurate job cost reports.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, verify design compliance, and enforce safety standards.

Track, prepare, and submit project claims and supporting documentation.
Project Engineer Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry.

Strong ability to adapt to fast-paced, shifting schedules and priorities.

Knowledge of OSHA standards, industry best practices, equipment, and QA/QC procedures.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver’s license required.

Willingness to travel locally (within 1–2 hours of Newtown, PA).
Skills & Certifications

OSHA 10-Hour Certification .

Marine construction experience a strong plus.

$85k-$110k, depending on experience.
