Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing department. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, oversee field operations, and provide technical expertise in geotechnical analysis and materials testing. You will play a key role in ensuring project success and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engineering reports and technical documentation.
  • Generate boring logs and select samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Review construction materials testing reports prior to client delivery.
  • Oversee field operations of construction materials testing and schedule technicians.
  • Perform engineering calculations (bearing capacity, pile capacity, retaining wall design)
  • Layout soil boring locations and oversee field data collection for geotechnical projects.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable record.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering required; M.S. .
  • 3-5 years of geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing consulting experience.

Skills:

  • Technical report writing and review.
  • Project coordination and scheduling.
  • Construction materials testing oversight.
  • Engineering calculations and design support.
  • Geotechnical analysis and soil investigation.
