The Rewards and Benefits on Offer:\n\n * A full time and permanent role from day 1!\n\n * A competitive basic salary\n\n * Free onsite parking\n\n * Company Pension\n\n * Holiday entitlement\n\n * Immediate starts available\n\n * A diverse and interesting role\n\nMTrec’s new job opportunity:\n\nWe are seeking a practical, hands-on Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering services across the full product lifecycle.\n\nThis role combines technical problem-solving with project coordination, working across design, production, maintenance, and repair activities.\n\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both new and existing products, ensuring they remain functional, compliant, and fit for purpose throughout their lifecycle.\n\nIf you meet the job specification below; apply now for an immediate response!\n\nThe job you will do:\n\n * Deliver and support engineering projects and technical services at both site and workshop locations\n\n * Diagnose faults and contribute to the repair and maintenance of customer equipment\n\n * Support the design, production, and ongoing improvement of products\n\n * Manage and coordinate multiple engineering workstreams across different disciplines\n\n * Act as a point of contact for internal teams, suppliers, and customers\n\n * Identify and resolve technical issues, both hands-on and desk-based\n\n * Support and maintain existing/legacy products still in service\n\n * Manage component obsolescence, identifying suitable replacements or upgrades\n\n * Process and implement engineering changes and improvements\n\n * Contribute to logistics support activities (spares, maintenance planning, documentation)\n\n * Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams\n\n * Engage directly with customers to understand and resolve technical issues\n\n * Present technical findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner\n\n * Work effectively with suppliers and external partners\n\nAbout you:\n\nBroad engineering knowledge across multiple disciplines\n\nExperience managing multiple technical tasks or small projects simultaneously\n\nStrong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach\n\nAbility to work with a wide range of stakeholders\n\nClear written and verbal communication skills\n\nExperience delivering engineering work in regulated or safety-critical environments\n\nExperience supporting products through their full lifecycle (design to in-service support)\n\nStrong engineering knowledge and experience (academic or vocational)\n\nDegree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) \n\nProactive, curious, and methodical approach\n\nComfortable working in small, collaborative teams\n\nAble to balance hands-on technical work with coordination responsibilities\n\nAdaptable and able to manage changing priorities\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nWillingness to travel (UK and occasional international)\n\nAbility to meet required background/security checks
