Role Description The Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Fresno, CA. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of structural concrete on public works projects, working closely with the project manager, field supervisors, and clients. Day-to-day tasks include planning work, preparing and reviewing submittals, assisting with constructability reviews, tracking schedules and budgets, and supporting quality control and safety initiatives. The Project Engineer will help manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders, coordinate with concrete crews and suppliers, and ensure accurate project documentation. The role also involves regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to address field issues, monitor progress, and keep projects on track.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong construction management skills, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to support scheduling, cost tracking, resource coordination, and risk management.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written documentation and effective collaboration with field teams, clients, and consultants.
- Relevant experience in construction, structural concrete, or public infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related field , or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on constructability and safety.
- Proficiency with project management and engineering software (e.g., MS Office, scheduling tools, Procore, CAD or BIM platforms) is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Fresno, CA, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in a field-oriented environment.
