Job Description
Project Engineer
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) college or university with a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent experience in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering with plans to pursue a Professional Engineer License (P.E.).
- 0-6 years of Civil Engineering experience Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Fundamentals of Engineering [FE] test taken and passed , but not required.
- Sufficient experience and knowledge of AutoCAD, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of principles of civil engineering, mathematics, and physics.
- Experience in solid waste, site development, and erosion control and stormwater design.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- Possess a valid US driver’s license.
- Proficiency in mathematics.
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good observation skills, positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Work under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer or experienced Project Engineer to develop and implement engineering solutions for project needs. Prepare or modify technical reports, specifications, plans, engineering calculations and opinions of cost, construction schedules, and environmental monitoring studies. Design solid waste, civil and environmental projects. Expected to become proficient in the use of a computer for design and CAD applications. Provide schematic design information to the Principal or Senior Engineer. Coordinate internal design tasks with other design professionals. Conduct construction observation and administration. Perform site inspection for construction, erosion control, and stormwater management.

Benefit Package:
• Salary ranges depending upon experience and average hours worked; Progression of training and capabilities are constantly assessed in order to adjust earnings
• Nine paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday following, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
