Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Support estimating activities for concrete, structural steel, earthwork, process piping, and architectural components.
  • Assist with negotiating and preparing purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Review project submittals and manage Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Coordinate with vendors to manage material orders and deliveries.
  • Conduct field observations and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform construction layout for onsite activities.
  • Assist with the startup and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Collaborate with the design engineering team to resolve field issues and unforeseen project challenges.
  • Support client relationships and contribute to business growth initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 3+ years of construction industry experience .
  • Experience with collaborative project delivery methods, including CMAR and Design-Build, .
  • Strong understanding of construction principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations.
  • Experience with project management software, estimating software, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD .
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home as project needs require.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in both office and active construction site environments.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and use of hands are required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs. regularly, 25–50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, high-visibility vest, face shield, safety footwear, coveralls, and other required safety equipment in accordance with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
