Project Engineer
The Opportunity:
This role would suit somebody with excellent Project Management skills who's used to working in a fast paced Mechanical Engineering business and can oversee the specification, sourcing, purchasing, installation and commissioning of new machinery. The Project Engineer will be used to managing mutiple projects simultaneously, have the ability to work with contractors and complete projects in a timely manner. A really interesting, varied and hands on role in a rapidly changing and expanding engineering facility.
Job Responsibilities:
Identifying, specifying, sourcing, and purchasing machines and equipment.
Supervising sub-contractors, ensuring project implementation to time and cost whilst complying with all Company and H&S requirements.
Creating project plans to support machine rearrangement, equipment installation, improvement, and cost reduction projects.
Identifying and implementing cost reduction and method improvement opportunities.
Purchasing parts and equipment for improvement works, collating receipts and raising purchase requisitions.
Carrying out plant engineering activities, with minimal supervision, across the site including building/mechanical infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
Providing technical expertise, including data analysis, planning and execution to improve equipment availability and asset utilisation for the site.
Identifying and making improvements to the reliability of equipment to reduce reoccurring faults and downtime.
Assisting Maintenance undertaking fault finding across the plant and on the equipment.
Implementing and driving reliability excellence (REX) on critical equipment.
Creation and maintenance of technical files for new and existing equipment. Skills:
Qualified to a HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 year’s relevant technical experience within an Engineering environment.
Ability to identify and solve to root cause, repetitive reliability problems and write maintenance procedures
Ability to collect and analyse overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) on critical equipment
CAD experience, full Microsoft suite and ideally Oracle useful.Pay and Benefits:
