Job Description

Project Engineer – Microsoft Partner | Hybrid (Basildon, Essex)

Nigel Frank International is hiring on behalf of a Microsoft Partner based in Basildon, Essex, seeking a Project Engineer to join their growing technical delivery team.

This is a hybrid role, combining home, office, and client site work across the South East. You’ll be hands-on with cloud migrations, virtualisation, infrastructure engineering, and networking — delivering high-quality solutions for a wide range of customers.

The Role

As a Project Engineer, you’ll take ownership of delivering infrastructure and cloud projects end-to-end — from planning and configuration through to deployment and client handover.

You’ll be working closely with technical consultants and 2nd/3rd line engineers, helping customers modernise their IT environments through Microsoft cloud solutions and robust, secure infrastructure.

Typical projects will include:

• Delivering and supporting Azure and Microsoft 365 migrations (200+ user environments)
• Deploying and configuring virtualised environments, servers, and firewalls
• Designing, installing, and maintaining core network infrastructure across hybrid setups
• Troubleshooting and resolving cloud, networking, and connectivity issues
• Acting as the technical lead on-site, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification
• Working directly with clients to scope requirements and deliver reliable, secure solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Strong, hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, and virtualisation technologies
• Solid background in networking, firewalls, routing, and hybrid infrastructure
• Confident delivering end-to-end infrastructure and migration projects
• Excellent troubleshooting and client-facing communication skills
• Comfortable working on-site with clients and leading by example
• Experience in a Microsoft Partner or MSP environment (highly desirable)
