Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to support bid development

  • Perform quantity takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff software

  • Assist in bid preparation in accordance with estimating policies and procedures

  • Attend scope review meetings with Estimators to gain client-facing experience

  • Develop written estimates using labor, material, and equipment cost data

  • Participate actively in training and development programs

  • Gain familiarity with:

    • Project folder and field documentation

    • Cost control and accounting systems

    • Local, city, and state building codes

    • Field construction methods

    • Company products and services (e.g., drywall, acoustical ceilings)

    • Marketing and business development strategies

  • Support proposal development and client presentations

  • Assist Business Development Manager with marketing and closings

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or Accounting
