Accountabilities\n\nGovernance\n\nLead and attend project reviews / project meetings\nHave an awareness of the Digital Briefcase\nMaintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries etc.)\nPrepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholdersAnalytical Thinking & Decision Making\n\nHelps to ensure reports provide relevant information to enable with changes inlegislation\n\nResponsible for the safety and welfare of the general public, employees andsupply chain\n\nCarry out Safety & Environmental Tours/promote observation and safetyinitiatives\n\nConduct and support Accident/Incident Investigations\nMonitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System and implementimprovement solutions\n\nWrite and review RAMS and accepting subcontractor RAMS\nIdentifying, raising and reporting risks and hazards\nEnsure sufficiency and competency of workforce\nUnderstand, control and issue safety documentation\nCompletion of audits\nSetting people to workRisk, Issue & Opportunity\n\nAssist the Project Manager to lead risk/opportunity reviews, present the RiskRegister and recommend/implement changes\n\nLog and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level ofauthority\n\nProcurement & Supply Chain\n\nManagement of subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendanceand progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that\n\ncontractual arrangements are achieved\n\nEnsure procurement plans are available in line with the overall project plans,and material/resources/supply chain activities are delivered to meet scheduled\n\ndeadlines\n\nQuality\n\nFollow targets/KPI's in line with project objectives and monitor performance\nEnsure assurance activities (audits) are undertaken and take appropriate actionon findings\n\nContribute towards workshops that cover the principles of continuousimprovement\n\nPlanning\n\nHelp to develop, implement and periodically update resource loaded schedules\nEnsure team adopt productivity and project controls techniques\nMonitor progress and implement Short Interval Control processes/hold weeklymeeting\n\nEnsure production of operational milestones reflect master schedule andcustomer expectations\n\nCommercial & Contract\n\nEnsure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources areutilised efficiently to ensure cost control\n\nAble to identify elements for cost recovery from others\nIncorporate and balance both operational and commercial constraints intodecision making\n\nAnalyse, appraise and implement CEs\nOwnership of Budget\nUnderstanding of the contract and knowledge of commercial impact\nManage commercial change\nRequestion of plant and materialsDigital\n\nMaintain Digital Group Minimum Standards and operate with appropriate levelof digital tools\n\nEnsure the team has the correct level of digital training and provide coachingwhere required\n\nAdvocate consistency and reliability of digital data to support successful projectdelivery\n\nResources & Development\n\nHelp to develop, implement and update resource allocation plans and raiseappropriate requests\n\nSetting &\n\nExperience\n\n(Required)\n\nThe following qualities/experience are desirable:\n\nAn organised, innovative and creative Project Engineer with knowledge andexperience of working on Projects who is proficient commercial/project\n\nmanagement communications\n\nExperience in implementing safe systems of work\nExperience in managing risks and change processes through solutions-basedapproach to problem solving\n\nGood interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed atall levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence\n\nDiscuss ideas and plans competently and with confidence\nCommunicate new concepts and ideas to technical and non-technicalstakeholders\n\nAwareness and promotion the benefits of and \nDemonstration of resilience and or more of the following:\n\nHolds or working towards a formal qualification in construction/engineering orequivalent industry experience\n\nHolds or desire to work towards either the APM
