Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving operations, and working closely with plant teams to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability. This role collaborates with Operations, R&D, and Quality to support daily production and lead projects that drive measurable improvements in performance and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations to improve production processes, material flow, quality, and efficiency
- Lead process and equipment improvement projects from design through implementation
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions
- Support equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning
- Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and output
- Review maintenance activities and spending to ensure alignment with budget goals
- Develop scopes of work, coordinate contractors, and verify project completion
- Create and maintain process documentation (P&IDs, BFDs, SOPs)
- Partner with R&D and Quality to implement improvements that meet product and safety standards
- Establish and audit quality control checkpoints
- Provide technical support and training to operations teams
- Support risk assessments, process safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in either Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant process engineering or manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and reports
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience improving plant processes, efficiency, or material flow
- Familiarity with fluid systems, separation processes, or chemical processing is a plus
