Job Description We are partnering with a long-standing, industry-leading manufacturer renowned for delivering high-quality enclosure and power system solutions . Their Darien facility is part of a global network known for innovation, engineering excellence, and ISO-certified quality standards . This organization produces rugged, UL-certified, custom-engineered enclosures supporting mission-critical applications across diverse markets. The team is seeking a versatile Application Engineer who thrives in a project-based engineering setting and is eager to develop solutions that directly impact customers and high-performance power systems. This is a direct hire role with significant opportunities for growth, cross-functional collaboration, and technical development within a stable and highly respected organization. Salary for the role is 80-90k. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and internal engineering groups to define project requirements, technical specifications, and design parameters. Develop engineered solutions for custom and standard enclosure products, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Interpret customer drawings, technical documentation, and application requirements to create accurate design proposals and technical recommendations. Produce 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent). Support product development initiatives, prototype builds, testing, and validation activities. Serve as a technical resource during the quotation process, assisting with scope definition and feasibility evaluations. Provide ongoing technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including troubleshooting and design modifications. Coordinate with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure design intent, quality standards, and ISO processes are upheld throughout production. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance, engineering processes, and documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). 1–5 years of engineering experience—ideally within enclosures, custom fabrication, industrial equipment, or other project-based environments. Proficiency with CAD platforms (SolidWorks ). Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes.
