Job Description

A leading ductwork specialist is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its growing team based at Crossways Business Park in Dartford. This is an office-based role offering the opportunity to manage projects from initial survey through to successful completion.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nConduct site surveys and undertake accurate on-site measurements.\n\nProduce and review technical drawings using AutoCAD (essential).\n\nManage projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring quality, programme, and commercial objectives are achieved.\n\nLiaise effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.\n\nOversee contract administration under both NEC and traditional forms of contract.\n\nPrepare cost plans, take-offs, and support value engineering initiatives.\n\nMonitor project margins and maintain commercial control throughout delivery.\n\nDevelop and manage project programmes, resource allocation, and scheduling.\n\nHandle variations, final accounts, and contribute to overall project profitability.\n\nEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience in a Project Engineer or similar project delivery role within construction, building services, HVAC, ductwork, or a related industry.\n\nStrong AutoCAD skills are essential.\n\nExperience carrying out site surveys and taking accurate measurements.\n\nKnowledge of project and contract management, including NEC and traditional contracts.\n\nStrong commercial awareness, including P&L understanding, variation management, and final accounts.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary of approximately £50,000.\n\nOpportunity to join a well-established and growing specialist contractor.\n\nSupportive team environment with genuine career development opportunities.\n\nImmediate interviews available
