Job Description
Project Engineer (Sheet Metal Fabrication)\n\nLocation: Coventry \n\nSalary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Benefits Term: Full-Time, Permanent\n\nAre you a precision-driven engineer who speaks the of both the design office and the shop floor?\nWe are looking for a Project Engineer for a leading UK sheet metal manufacturer specializing in Defence, Automotive and rail sectors.\n\nTechnical Interpretation: Reviewing customer 2D/3D CAD drawings and nesting parts for optimal material yield.\nData Input: create Route cards in our ERP system (MIEtrak), producing WO’s and work packs for production.\nDFM (Design for Manufacture): Collaborating with clients to refine designs, reducing costs and manufacturing complexity where possible.\nProject Management: Managing timelines, material procurement, and sub-contract treatments (e.g., powder coating, plating).\nEstimating & Costing: Producing PO’s and procuring materials and fixings from approved suppliers.\nTooling & Programming: Generating programs for CNC machinery (Laser/ Press Brake) using Radan, SolidWorks.
