Role Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chief Dam Safety Engineer, this role oversees multiple projects as a project engineer, discipline lead, and/or field construction coordinator, focused on maintaining and/or improving asset safety, environmental quality, reliability, infrastructure modernization, efficiency, etc.. Specifically, this position manages and implements budgets, schedules, cost estimating and cost control, drafts technical documents, manages various compliance components, etc.
This role travels as needed to company offices and facilities located in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Limited overnight and out of the region travel could be required.
Responsibilities
- Oversees overall project management and coordination including cost, forecasting, reporting, schedule, scope, safety, technical, environmental, and licensing requirements;
- Coordinates and oversees field implementation/construction of project solutions;
- Performs pre-construction planning to ensure all licensing requirements are addressed;
- Supports solicitation of contractor estimates and proposals;
- Coordinates engineering design, resolution of comments, and delivery of completed documents;
- Performs project close-out to ensure all documentation is properly archived, permits are closed, financial items are addressed, etc.;
- Communicates recommendations to management and other effected parties in a way that fosters consensus and facilitates favorable project outcomes;
- Solicits internal and/or external expertise as needed;
- Utilizes various central information systems to ensure accurate project costing; and
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience working in/with industrial construction, manufacturing, and/or operations environments;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required;
- Strong familiarity with OSHA and/or NFPA 70e LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) rules;
- CAPM, PMI or PMP Certification is a PLUS;
- Prior electrical/mechanical/civil knowledge required;
- Must be able to read blueprints and coordinate design drawings;
- Technical expert on project management methodologies, practices and procedures;
- Ability to drive teams to meet deadlines;
- Good leadership skills with the ability to coach, advise, give feedback, and help communicate priorities to internal teams;
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication skills;
- Ability to travel as needed throughout MA, NH, VT;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Strong time-management skills with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects;
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; and
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation Range: $105,000 - $120,000/year + Bonus
