Project Engineer - Cambridge\n\nAn innovative technology company based in Cambridge is looking for a hands-on and versatile Project Engineer to support the development of advanced imaging and inspection systems used across a range of high-tech industries.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment, working on cutting-edge products alongside multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, software and scientific disciplines.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Leader in the design, development and improvement of new and existing products. The role will involve a combination of design, prototyping, testing, documentation and customer-focused engineering support.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nIdentifying and scoping product improvements and new features based on customer feedback and internal development requirements\nWorking closely with Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineers, as well as Scientists and Applications teams, to design, prototype, test and evaluate components and sub-assemblies\nProducing and maintaining project documentation in line with internal development procedures\nCreating and managing project plans, milestones and deliverables\nLiaising with manufacturing teams and suppliers to define requirements and develop solutions\nManaging engineering documentation including work instructions and bills of materials\nDeveloping Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) protocols for new products\nSupporting product commissioning, packing and shipping activities\nAssisting with specialist device builds where required\nProviding occasional global site support and customer visits\nSupporting the Project Leader across wider project activities\n\nThe Technology\n\nThe company develops advanced imaging and inspection systems used in a range of rapidly growing industries.
